The Great Mela

The Great Mela, started off as a Festival in Dubai in 2016, was created as an attempt to bring together people from all walks of life to come and express, revel and share in all the good things life has to offer. Life is a gift, we all live the life we have, but are we really alive? It was this question that lead us to create The Great Mela, it was not only a festival which people who attended, enjoyed, but more importantly it gave us the assurance that we had touched upon something, yes, there were 73+ brilliant performers over 2 days, yes we had unique food being served, yes we had authentic handicrafts and tons of other activities and crafts on display, but one thing that stood out was the vibe that this created. We had managed to create something that every one would love. Each person is unique and we had managed to have something there for everyone! We so desperately wanted to build on it, we wanted to continue with the conversation we had started, unfortunately for an umpteen number of reasons we couldn’t, but we never lost hope or gave up, we are back now, we want to start over and us being back is what makes The Great Mela even more symbolic. That’s what its about really, life may give your lemons and no you do not need to make lemonade, just make whatever you like. Smile at the challenge and rise above it.
