The Friends Of Rockland Lake And Hook Mountain

The Friends of Rockland Lake and Hook Mountain seek to preserve the history and environment of Rockland Lake, Hook Mountain and Nyack Beach State Parks. They do this by presenting education programs about the history of the ice industry on the Lake and the mining industry of the Palisades Cliffs; environmental programs; volunteer clean-ups of the Hudson River shores and parklands; and advocacy efforts to encourage legislation that supports preservation.
