Built in 1915 and tripled by its most famous owner James Buchanan Duke, The Duke Mansion has been home and host to leaders of the 20th century. Duke’s most lasting legacies, including Duke University, Duke Energy and the Duke Endowment, took shape at the home. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Mansion is now operated as a nonprofit with all proceeds being used to preserve and protect this community treasure.
Today, we are dedicated to offering fine cuisine, beautiful amenities, relaxing atmosphere and remarkable service. With an emphasis on Southern charm, our historic home is a welcome alternative to large, impersonal corporate campuses or hotels.
We revel in the ability to make you the center of our universe, catering to your specific needs --not just assuming they are the same as everyone else's. Whether you seek a bed and breakfast get-away for two, a meeting or retreat for fifty, a unique and restful night on a business trip or a family or business special event for 300+ people, our attention to detail and personalized service will make you feel like the honored guest that you are.
