Taranaki Health Foundation - why are we fundraising?
The goal of the Taranaki Health Foundation is to enable the best possible healthcare in our region. We do this by fundraising on behalf of the TDHB to deliver new technology, enhancements and services over and above Government funding provided to the Taranaki DHB. The stark reality is that the variety of initiatives we are working on simply wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of the community. Successful partnership projects so far have included: Project Maunga Stage 1, new health technologies, staff training, equipment to improve patient outcomes, a new Mobility Garden and of course the new 3.6 million dollar Angiography Suite at Base Hospital to name a few.
Our current fundraising efforts are now focused on Stage 2 of Project Maunga, the $300M+ East Wing development, and we are kicking it off with the Renal Unit relocation/build. Our current $25M project will join a range of enhancements gifted to the Taranaki DHB for the benefit of all Taranaki communities.
We acknowledge the regional history of health fundraising to provide vital improvements and enhancements for Taranaki communities. We hope that with your support we can continue to ensure we have the best possible health outcomes for our region.
