The Circle is an architecture and design focussed co-working / collaboration / learning / teaching community. But co-working is only one aspect of this new concept in collaboration. It is also an exhibition space, a collaborative hub, an event space, a maker’s workshop, an academic platform for research and teaching, a place for music, and a place for holistic practice of life/work relationships.
Our philosophy is driven by a sense of sincerity and openness, and inclusivity which invites collaborators to join the community to both express themselves better individually and to find a platform through which they can expand on the potentiality of their professional and personal lives through this gathering.
Our focus is not just architecture but the idea of personal and professional growth through an appreciation that architecture is a necessarily multidisciplinary art, which not only involves technical design but also a philosophy of sustainability that pervades all our perspectives.
We are flexible and open and therefore available to different ideas. That makes it possible for us to stretch our identity beyond that of a simple architect, because we are not simply architects. We define our selves more as ‘Spatial Agents’ who can adapt to all circumstances and all spheres of thinking and influence.
The Circle was founded by Avcı Architects with co-founders Selçuk Avcı, Sanja Jurca Avcı, Markus Lehto, Eda Çarmıklı, Yüksel Demir, Kemal Seyhan, Nurgül Türker, Dilara Tekin Gezginti, and Yunus Tonkuş.
