A commitment to caring and sharing since 1954
Sun Youth works with individuals and families in need from the Greater Montreal area by providing a range of emergency services to ensure basic needs and to preserve people’s integrity, by contributing actively to crime prevention and by promoting physical, social and intellectual development of people through education, sports and recreation.
Sun Youth meets the needs of thousands of people annually through some thirty programs and activities. Sun Youth is a registered charity and a non-profit organization. It derives most of its revenue from many generous private and corporate donors and relies on the faithful cooperation of community and humanitarian organizations, of municipalities and governmental instances as well as that of media partners.
Our organization has 60 employees, a number increasing to 125 in summer when we hire students to work for our various summer programs and activities. We are fortunate to count on over 1000 volunteers helping us during the course of the year. Also, as essential members of our team, approximately 40 trainees on workplace insertion programs or internships are helping us to achieve our mission.
Both in the provision of its services, its management and operations, Sun Youth Organization promotes values of solidarity, sharing and social inclusion.
