Sue Devine is the Founder of Sue Devine Consulting LLC, created in 2024 to offer a range of services to charities and philanthropists. She is a seasoned executive with extensive experience leading non-profits and assisting them in achieving their strategic and philanthropic goals. She developed her expertise while working with two of the world’s leading museums and with cultural, educational, health, and social service organizations across the U.S. in professional and consulting roles.
Prior to launching the firm, Devine served for nearly 20 years as Executive Director of American Friends of the Louvre. In this position, she was instrumental in establishing this new 501 (c)(3) in the U.S., securing more than $45 million for Louvre initiatives, including funding for projects and donations of works of art. Prior to this role, Devine was Executive Director of American Friends of the British Museum, raising significant funds in the U.S. for the world’s first public museum. Previously she served as a Senior Consultant at Campbell & Company - a national fundraising consulting firm, and in leadership development positions at The Chicago History Museum and Meadows Schools of the Arts and Meadows Museum at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Devine is experienced in creating new fundraising programs focused on compelling mission-driven projects that inspire donor engagement and support. She has also specialized in developing loyal and generous patrons for high-level international cultural organizations, a very competitive niche for donors desiring access to world-class institutions. Devine joined Chapel & York as an International Expert in September 2024 to advise clients on cross-border fundraising. opportunities
