Street Child Africa supports street-connected children by funding prevention work, outreach programmes, centres, education and family reintegration services. Since 2012, we have helped our partners reach more than 354,000 children and vulnerable families.
The children we support are courageous, resilient and resourceful. They must work hard to survive. They carry loads, work in markets and sleep rough. They take abuse from just about everyone. We know them and we know their stories. We know what brought them to the streets, what challenges they face but also their aspirations.
We work with carefully chosen partner organisations who share our values. We invest in our partners’ organisational development and pursue opportunities to set up or nurture existing networks that strengthen collaboration and coordination among street child NGOs (non-governmental organisations). We know that this is the only way to offer sustainable solutions to children in street situations.
We currently fund 10 partners in five countries; Ghana, Mozambique, Zambia and Senegal
