The Ayubowan Foundation represents the interests of poor to very poor children and the elderly in Sri Lanka. The foundation has an experience of 30 years in helping through writing parents, project aid and study funds. The many volunteers do it entirely voluntary so all the help will go to the less fortunate.
The foundation:
Since the first structural help by Ayubowan Foundation was in 1974, it took till 1978 before Ayubowan became a foundation by law. Since that time the Ayubowan Foundation has grown into an enthusiastic group of 5 members of the board and 19 volunteers. 21 homes in Sri Lanka are connected to the writing parents program of the foundation.
Besides the writing parent program the Ayubowan Foundation has also a study fund program.
Writing parent program:
This is our basis and still is the core of our foundation, corresponding with a child or elderly in Sri Lanka! Inextricably related is financial support.
Study fund program:
All children from the regular writing parent program go to school. For children who do not need help from the writing parent program, but because of financial reasons can not attend school, the study fund program is created.
Project aid:
Next to the writing parent- and the study fund program, the Ayubowan Foundation also provides project aid. Under project aid we mean help which improves the everyday life structurally within the supported orphanages, both materially and socially.
