About
Located in Vermont's scenic Lake Champlain Valley, Shelburne Museum is one of the nation's finest, most diverse and unconventional museums of art, design and Americana. Over 100,000 works are exhibited in a remarkable setting of 38 exhibition buildings, 25 of which are historic and were relocated to the Museum grounds.
The museum’s collection includes works by the great Impressionist painters Claude Monet, Edouard Manet and Edgar Degas as well as a prized collection of folk art including trade signs, weathervanes and quilts. In addition, beginning in May and continuing through October, there are daily demonstrations at blacksmith and print shops, tours of the historic steamboat Ticonderoga, and the opportunity to ride on a genuine 1920’s carousel.
In 2013, Shelburne Museum opened the Pizzagalli Center for Art & Education which adds 2 new galleries, a classroom and an auditorium for speakers and special events. For more information, please visit: www.shelburnemuseum.org.
