Welcome to Sarvaam Foundation Canada (SFC). We are a registered charity entirely run by volunteers. Our mission is simple: to improve the lives of those in need through a variety of charitable projects.
Founded after our co-founders witnessed the struggles of families with children with special needs and autism in Sri Lanka, SFC has since run three autism awareness events in Canada and opened a pilot treatment clinic in Kalmunai, providing physical, speech, and occupational therapy to children with special needs. We've also constructed common wells in communities in Batticaloa, Mannar, and Mankulam.
But we don't stop there. Our youth have led annual homeless food drives in Toronto, and our adults have sent undergarments to young girls in Sri Lanka. In 2020 alone, we raised $3300 CDN and provided 458 female students in Sri Lanka with a package of undergarments. A $15(CAD) donation covers the cost of procurement, packaging, and delivery of three sets of underwear, two camisoles, one bra, and one slip short.
At SFC, we work with local public health officials, school principals, and textile directors to identify and support financially disadvantaged girls in Sri Lanka. And while we continue to expand our project scope, our main initiative will always be providing support and services for children with special needs, including Autism spectrum disorder.
If you're interested in making a difference, we invite you to donate or volunteer with SFC. Every little bit counts. Plus, donors are eligible for tax receipts at $25 and above, and all of our activities are transparent. Join us in making a positive impact today.
