The Israeli Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Ramat Gan and Vicinity
About us
The Israeli Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Ramat Gan and Vicinity, is one of the first animal welfare organizations in Israel, and has been operating for 65 years.
Throughout the years we have taken care of thousands of animals, and, supported by the spirit of our volunteers, have saved and found warm and loving homes for most of them, while continuing to take care of those that have not been adopted.
Our activities span through the entire continuum of animal-aid and include:
Rescue
Shelter and food
Medical care
Rehabilitation
Preparation for adoption and training
Finding adopting families
Post adoption support
We are devoted to each and every animal residing in our shelter, and make sure that they receive the best treatment and quality of life, including frequent walks in neighboring parks, and daily personal attention
We are also committed to rehabilitating animals that have experienced physical or mental abuse, and to turn them into trusting, loving and adoptable animals
We are constantly working to increase awareness through the media and Internet, and have established good relationships with key media figures that help us promote targets such as animal adoption, and prevention of abuse
We do not put down animals (unless clearly medically required to do so in order to end extreme and untreatable suffering)
