Relief & Reconciliation International AISBL (R&R) is an international non-profit organisation, established in January 2013 under Belgian law. More than 450 members are organised in 10 National Chapters around Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
R&R International aims at combining peacebuilding with humanitarian aid in response to the Syrian crisis. At local and regional level, we are trying to unite different communities and groups around a common cause: the future of the youth. Before starting operations, we submit ourselves to the consensus of a local steering committee composed by moral authorities of all communities present.
R&R International opened its first Peace Centre in July 2013 in the North of Lebanon, only 12 km from the Syrian border. It serves as an open house and activity hub for the youth of all communities as well as home for international volunteers and visitors. R&R Syria also operates in informal camp schools for Syrian refugees nearby and in two other outreach centres with different communities, serving both Lebanese and Syrians. The main focus of our daily work is education.
