The Aboriginal Youth Centre for Success is a groundbreaking program developed and directed by the Red Deer Native Friendship Society.
The goal of the Aboriginal Youth Centre for Success is to provide youth 13-25 with a place of their own to improve immediate and long term social, educational, economic and health outcomes through supports and services that meet their individual and cultural needs.
We are located in Red Deer, Alberta. The foundation of the Red Deer AYSC is learning: culture, personal development, academic, leadership. A key program the envelops all of these pillars is called Spirit Seekers, which fosters cultural awareness, career exploration, and life skill that empowers our young people find their path to success. We partner with Sccyber to create the opportunity to graduate with a diploma that will gain our member's entrance to university, trades schools, and to find a livelihood that is rewarding.
Ultimately, as our name suggests, we have created a comprehensive, inter-connected systems of supports to ensure the success of our community's Aboriginal youth. It is a home away from home; a safe and rewarding place to be.
