Queen’s Commerce Service Initiative (QCSI) is an organization consisting of hardworking business students dedicated to creating change both locally and internationally. Within the Kingston community, our club has established meaningful partnerships with many local not-for-profit organizations to help fulfill volunteering needs. On the international scale, the focal point of our club is an annual service trip to a community in need. This trip aims to make a substantial impact while also providing volunteers with fresh cultural experiences. Our organization started out by visiting New Orleans to aid in local construction due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Since then, our club has expanded its impact beyond North America. For example, we helped build a wheelchair-accessible home for an impoverished family in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Not only were the materials completely funded by QCSI, but we also financed professional contractors to ensure a sustainable and safe project, as well as contributing to the local economy. We believe that the opportunities provided by QCSI to both our members and beneficiaries create lasting positive impacts, and we hope to bring this value to as many people as possible.
It would be our pleasure to have a partnership with your organization in the upcoming year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any further questions regarding our club.
