Established in 1972, Playgroup NSW is a membership association that supports young children and their families to come together for playgroups and other activities that promote early childhood development and build connections between families and communities.
With 53,000 engaged members, Playgroup NSW holds 500 playgroup sessions weekly.
There are a myriad of benefits that the co-participant sessions foster, for both the children who attend, as well as for their parents and carers.
A not-for-profit organisation, Playgroup NSW is supported by State and Federal government funding, membership fees, one-off grants and corporate partnerships.
Playgroup NSW exists because of the thousands of committed and enthusiastic members who attend local playgroups, volunteers who operate our community playgroups and those elected to our Board of Management.
As Playgroup NSW edges towards its 50th anniversary, the organisation continues to focus on offering early pathways to learning, to create happier, healthier, better connected communities.
