Peak District Mining Museum is an independent charity-owned museum dedicated to protecting, promoting the remains of the local mining industry and educating people about its importance locally and globally. We are a leading visitor attraction in Derbyshire. The Museum is based in The Grand Pavilion, Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. Our visitor mine (Temple Mine) is across the road from the Museum. We are owned by the Peak District Mines Historical Society and house their library and records.
