Peaceworks Sweden

PeaceWorks is a non-profit peace organisation by and for young people. The three main areas of activity within PeaceWorks are: - Local associations (start your own association and run a peace project, globally and locally). We have local associations around Sweden that serve as a platform for former volunteers and other committed young people. The local associations in turn run international and national projects focusing on peace. Our local associations are both networks, focus groups and local groups that work with a number of exciting global projects. - Education (take part in PeaceWorks' various forums and workshops that we provide). Studies on peace and information on peace-promoting development form an essential part of the work of local associations as well as the components of exchange programs and of PeaceWork's activities in general. - Volunteer exchanges and internships in Sweden and other counties. Every year, hundreds of members of PeaceWork engage in local, national, and international activities. As a member of PeaceWorks, you get to take part in all the activities that are arranged.
