In the spring of 2016, amid the wave of refugees around the globe, including the unprecedented numbers of people fleeing the wars and conflicts in the Middle East, the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) used its annual leadership summit to examine how the Peace Corps community could respond.
The Peace Corps Community for Refugees (PCC4Refugees) was formed to channel the intercultural and linguistic skills that Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) possess into opportunities to support refugee communities at home and abroad.
There are four working teams: Partnership, Advocacy, Communication and Membership. PCC4R has an active website, Facebook and Instagram sites to visit for updated information.
