Panos Eastern Africa is a regional, information and communication for development non-governmental organisation working in the East and Great Horn of Africa.
Our mission is to address the information needs of the poor and marginalised, create media visibility of their concerns and inform policy through building the capacities of the media and civil society, researching, documenting, communicating and disseminating quality development information.
An informed and empowered society with an improved quality of life, living in peace and harmony.
By enriching and influencing policy debate, development information as a tool for advocacy and as a tool for research is a particularly useful component in the quest for sustainable development.
Panos Eastern Africa focuses its work in eight countries of the East and Greater Horn of Africa. We work with the media, policy makers and international agencies in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea and Djibouti.
