Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia se-Dunia (PPI Dunia) or Overseas Indonesian Students‘ Association Alliance is a non-profit oriented and non-governmental organization. We serve as a platform for Indonesian students pursuing an academic degree abroad to exchange experience and knowledge that might be useful for their personal and professional developments.
Through the proliferation of knowledge and experience in our platform, we aim to contribute to the development of Indonesia by presenting the Indonesian government diverge perspectives and possible solutions relating to Indonesia’s current and future challenges. In addition to this, we run various social projects for Indonesian citizens such as encouraging the youths to study abroad and improving their standard of living.
The existence of the Indonesian Students’ Association in overseas countries has emerged even before the Indonesian Independence Day in 1945. Our predecessors at that time had contributed to the Independence and Freedom of Indonesia by bringing forth their knowledge and bravery back to the homeland. In 2007, PPI Dunia was officially established as the uniting alliance consisting of Indonesian students' associations across the globe. We now have members of tens of thousands Indonesian students that are spread across three regions, namely: America-Europe (27 countries), Middle East and Africa (16 countries), and Asia-Oceania (14 countries).
We exhibit an International Symposium annually that elects a new coordinator for the following year. This year, we focus on the digital tools and innovations to facilitate better and more sustainable development of our beloved country, Indonesia. This focus is embedded in our current tagline: “Innovative - Progressive - Aspiration“
