Ormsson Group is one of Iceland leading retail companies in consumer electronics. The Group trades in retail and wholesale trade in Iceland. Retail is run through the retail brand Ormsson, HTH, & Samsung Setrið. In addition, trade also takes place via e-shops/sites but also through B2B sales via HTH, Ormsson and SRX. The company Ormsson (originally The Ormsson Brothers) was founded on December 1st 1922 by the brothers Eiríkur and Jón Ormsson and until recently the company was owned by their descendants. The original purpose of the company was the operation of an electrical workshop, but the operation soon developed to import of AEG as early as 1923 and later presenting Fuji Electric in Iceland. The goal for Ormsson Group is to perfect our brands with focus on customer satisfaction and customer experience and to take advantage of synergies within the Group to enable lower prices.
