The Neraida Floating Museum started operating in 2013 with the purpose to promote the maritime and shipping history of the country, to highlight the field of business history and to protect the maritime environment through activities of educational, informative and scientific nature.
It is the only floating museum in Greece capable that is seaworthy. The Museum's operation was inaugurated with the sailing of the traditional route along the old destinations in the Argosaronic Gulf.
The Museum presents, on a permanent basis, the history of the "Neraida" passenger ship from its launch in 1939 through the completion of its conversion into a museum as well as the business history of John Latsis as it unfolded during the 20th century in Greece and the world.
