Nui Galway Students' Union

NUI Galway Students’ Union is an independent body whose function is to represent its members and promote, defend and vindicate their rights in NUI Galway and elsewhere. In addition to representation, the NUI Galway Students' Union provides a wide range of services for its members. Those services range from advice on welfare and education to the Students’ Union Shop and the College Bar.   The Students’ Union Executive Committee runs the Union on an on-going basis and is responsible for the day to day representational functions and activities of the Union. The Executive is made up of fifteen officers who are elected by the members each year. The Executive Committee is responsible for providing members with information and advice covering the whole spectrum of student life from academic issues to issues regarding accommodation and equality. The Students' Union manages many of its services through a limited company, Students' Union Commercial Services Ltd. This comnpany manages the Students' Union Shop, the College bar, College Bar Catering, Smokey's Cafe, Caife na Gaeilge. The Hub Cafe, The Wall Cafe and the SU Card.
