Mwana Villages is a grassroots organization in the Republic of Congo that provides refuge within orphanhood to vulnerable children and families. We do this in five specific and intentional ways:
1. We provide shelter to orphaned and vulnerable children at the Mwana Refuge.
2. We create safety for vulnerable children who may otherwise face trafficking, exploitation or death.
3. We employ trustworthy local staff who holistically and lovingly care for the children and families.
4. We unite each child to his family, either through family reunification or through adoption when needed.
5. We empower vulnerable women toward stability, self-sufficiency and hope.
We are a small team of committed individuals throughout the world who are working to provide protective, restorative refuge to orphaned and vulnerable children and families in the Republic of Congo. We are a registered nonprofit in the US, Canada, France and Congo.
