Minds Matter Detroit

The youth is the future and Minds Matter Detroit is working to make the investment in their dreams and passions. Minds Matter Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success. We bring academically talented and motivated high school students together with dedicated mentors to help them achieve academic excellence and expand their educational horizons, with the goal of ultimately gaining acceptance to college. This is accomplished by students committing to a 3-year program that includes academic instruction, SAT test prep, individualized mentoring support, and summer pre-college programs. Our Minds Matter Detroit students experience our program at no cost to them with the help of our devoted volunteers, generous donors, and consistent fundraising efforts.
