The non-profit California Native Garden Foundation (CNGF) provides both education and grants. Classes, lectures, and workshops are available on water-wise gardening, 12 months of color in your garden, designing a native garden, native edibles, and more.
Middlebrook Center is home to both CNGF and ELSEE (Environmental Laboratory for Sustainability and Ecological Education). ELSEE is a land use model for schools across the world to use the garden as an outdoor classroom and produce healthy food for students and the community. Teachers and students are invited to visit the garden and enjoy a lunch from the plants growing there!
