Mahuki is an innovation accelerator programme focused on global opportunities in the cultural sector. It is a space where entrepreneurialism, technology and culture collide to create innovative solutions that enrich galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAM). Backed by Te Papa Tongarewa, Mahuki is located in a purpose built facility in New Zealand’s national museum. Mahuki is part of a growing trend of institutions partnering with industry and entrepreneurs to fast track innovation and adapt to a dynamic digital world.
Mahuki is an annual programme, with a fresh wave of innovators completing the four month programme each year. Applications for the 2017 programme open on April 3rd and close in May 29th. First day of the programme starts July 27th.
