MINDSET is the registered charity of the Jardine Matheson Group. Set up in 2011 in Singapore, MINDSET has been contributing towards mental health social services, an area that is often neglected and under-resourced.
Through MINDSET, Jardines seek to change attitudes and de-stigmatise mental illness, as well as provide direct assistance to individuals, families and related voluntary welfare organisations. As an active private sector partner in Singapore’s mental health community, we organise awareness building and fund raising activities, provide job trainings and placements, and introduce social enterprise initiatives. These programmes are championed and organised by our employee volunteers, known as Jardine Ambassadors.
To further promote social acceptance of people with mental health issues in a sustained way, we also set up our flagship project, MINDSET Learning Hub, in 2016. In collaboration with Singapore Association for Mental Health, MINDSET Learning Hub is the first and only Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) training centre in Singapore dedicated to people recovering from mental illness. It is also a job placement platform to facilitate the employment of trainees.
