Charting a new course for innovation in education. Lyra incubates and accelerates bold, high-impact education initiatives that tackle some of the biggest challenges facing education, deeply rooted in diverse and inclusive community voices. Our name symbolizes our mission. Inspired by Vega, the brightest star in the Lyra constellation, we draw together educators, organizations, and communities. Our work is fueled by bold ideas from those who know our students best. We work on three primary initiatives. INNOVATION ZONES We bolster school communities to design and sustain zones of autonomous district schools, fostering transformative learning guided by educators. Within these zones, educators leverage flexibility and autonomy to decide what's best for their students and community. CLIMATARIUM Championing a greener tomorrow, we prepare youth to build economically and environmentally resilient communities. With a vision to position Colorado as a beacon in climate education in the next 5 years, we plan to equip the next generation with the tools needed to address climate change ramifications. MISSION ACCELERATORS We accelerate the missions of philanthropic partners to launch education initiatives, champion policies and amplify grantee impact grounded in community voice.
