Leaderboard: The Coffee Game

Leaderboard is an arcade themed, quarterly virtual coffee competition and educational tool played in over 50 countries by coffee professionals and enthusiasts alike. ‘Players’ are sent 10 mystery coffees from 10 different roasters in bags labelled only by number. Points are earned by correctly identifying the coffees based on defining characteristics such as origin, variety, and processing. The highest scores are immortalized on the season’s leaderboard and prizes are won by hitting high scores and earning badges. What started as a pandemic passion project has since turned into an important initiative taking place in the homes, roasteries, cafes, labs, and offices of coffee lovers around the world.
