The Layne Beachley Foundation provides financial support and mentoring to young Australian women to help transform their potential into reality.
Founded in 2003 by seven-time world surfing champion Layne Beachley, the Foundation has supported over 450 STARS in a wide range of pursuits including sport, leadership, business and community, environment, arts, music and entertainment and science.
Our recipients have created an impact in areas such as:
Working with people with disabilities
Scientific research in areas such as spinal research, cancer, autism and the birth of stars
Indigenous health and well being
Mental health
Aged care
Education in third world and remote and rural regions
Environmental studies in areas such as the Great Barrier Reef, Antarctica and endangered marine life
