Founded in 2015 when supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss began learning to code, Kode With Klossy creates learning experiences and opportunities for young women, gender nonconforming, and trans students that increase their confidence and inspire them to pursue their passions in a technology driven world.
This summer Kode With Klossy will be hosting free in-person camps across the United States and in London, UK, as well as continuing their successful virtual offering. Virtual programs are open to eligible applicants, no matter where they are located. Each camp is led by two instructors who are trained in our custom curriculum and two instructor assistants, who are alumni of the program who get the opportunity to return in a peer leadership role.
During camps, scholars cram a semester’s worth of learning into two short weeks - from front-end to back-end engineering concepts, a series on the culture of technology, and project work with all camps culminating in a demo day where scholars showcase a project they’ve built (a website or mobile app) to their friends and family.
Learning how to code through Kode With Klossy gives young women so much more than an employable skill. The experience and environment provide a framework for our scholars to feel confident and succeed in anything they do in the future.
