What is Jobsteps?
Jobsteps Employment Services is a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in helping disadvantaged individuals and those with complex barriers to find and sustain meaningful paid employment; our specialist programmes focus on individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions, Learning Difficulties and Mental Health issues.
Within Jobsteps we have two specialist divisions; Stepping Forward and Work Programme.
Stepping Forward is a Confidence Building and Employability programme open to any customers 16 years and over who are on the autistic spectrum and/or have learning disabilities who are not currently accessing mainstream activities, including other welfare to work programmes, education, training or employment. Individuals must live in South Yorkshire. Referrals can be made directly by contacting us on 0114 3840 334. Spaces are limited. We currently work on a variety of funded projects and also provide support and advice under 'Right to Control' and 'Access to Work'.
Our Work Programme provision is through Serco for the South Yorkshire region for individuals within our specialist categories. We take referrals from the mainstream Work Programme providers where the individuals need specialist support and do not fit into the large group activities run by other providers. We provide a range of bespoke courses and support options related specifically to customers barriers to help them back towards the work place.
