Jewish Heritage Programs began in 1993 as a project of Chabad@Penn, focused specifically on engaging the growing number of students on campus that are not being served by traditional Jewish institutions. Employing a unique peer-to-peer program methodology, JHP has proved effective in engaging college students, young professionals, and business professionals, by helping to integrate Judaism into their personal lives and organic social networks. Our programs reflect an understanding that kindling a passion for Judaism is not tied to a specific point in life, but happens across multiple life stages:
JHP On Campus: A unique college program in that it transforms previously under engaged Jewish student leaders into stakeholders who are responsible for recruiting peers and developing Jewish programs for their friends with the support of Chabad on Campus Rabbis.
Young Professionals Network: Serves as a community for our campus alumni, friends and local social circles to connect to their Jewish heritage while advancing their careers, meeting other single Jews, participating in community service projects, and enjoying arts & culture.
Jewish Business Network: Provides direct networking opportunities for businesses and leaders in the Greater Philadelphia area through events that foster both professional and personal development, while also helping affirm their Jewish identity.
