The International Security Management Association (ISMA) was founded in 1983 to become the leading global corporate security association: assessing, shaping and evolving corporate security risk management worldwide. Its mission is to provide a global, trusted peer information-sharing network, thought leadership, and professional development to evolve the Chief Security Officer value proposition enabling members’ organizations to navigate risks and achieve success in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous business environment. ISMA membership of some 400 executives is centered on Chief Security Officers of major corporates together with the CEOs or delegates of major providers. Membership spans five continents, incorporating an aggregate employee base of 15 million, and aggregate revenues in excess of $3.5 trillion. Members collectively represent some 20% of the Fortune Global 500 including 25 companies in the FTSE 100, DAX, and CAC40 together with more than 50% of the Fortune 100 and 25% of the Fortune 500. Many of our members previously served in senior positions in law enforcement, military and intelligence organizations. The membership is well versed and respected in the industry, and comprises a very prestigious and unprecedented forum for the exchange of ideas, practices and information. No other organization offers as much in-depth experience in managing security as a business function.
