Integrated Design Associates Limited is an award-winning architectural design company that specialises in “Green” buildings, airports and high-tech offices. The company aims to provide a high calibre research, design and planning consultancy service for clients and projects of wide ranging levels of complexity and challenges in Hong Kong, China and Internationally. IDA’s approach to design takes an integrated consideration of sustainability, environmentally as well as functionally, cost effectiveness, energy efficiency, spatial awareness, user well-being and architectural aesthetics. The philosophy is always clear and unequivocal–the company’s efforts must make a difference for all its clients, irrespective of size and scale of the project. Integrated Design Associates Ltd was established in 1999 by Winston Shu. Winston has been practising for more than 30 years, with broad experience built over 2 decades of working with Sir Norman Foster and Partners on projects in UK, Hong Kong and China. His major completed work includes the Stansted Airport Terminal (with 28 international awards for excellence), and the Hong Kong International Airport Passenger Terminal Building (HKIA Silver Medal, voted the Best Airport in the World for 6 consecutive years since 2000).
