The Indie-clips Short Film Festival was created by Ambre Vanneste in 2021 and held its first event in the same year. The organization behind the initial festival is Indie-clips, a registered non-profit organization (0794.137.515) aimed at promoting young student filmmakers around the globe.
Joined by Jonathan Yang and Shelly Lee, The 2nd Indie-Clips Short film festival was formally established and took place in London, in the summer of 2022 and received 54 submissions from 14+ countries welcoming 200 total visitors to the festival.
Our panel of 12 judges in 2022 featured BAFTA-winning producer Jordi Morera, D&AD Pencils-winning filmmaker Niel Pymer, and Forbes Featuring CEO Rebekah Smith.
In 2023, our aim is to accompany a group of young students (aged 15-18yo) through a program of in-person workshops that will take them from steps A to Z in the completion of a short film focusing on numbers 3 (Good Health and well-being), 4 (Quality Education), 9 (Industry Innovation and Infrastructure), and 13 (Climate Action) of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals in order to empower young people to stimulate change through the power of creative arts and cultivate their critical awareness and give them an opportunity to show initiative in tackling complex social issues.
We will celebrate the results of our various educational workshops at the Indie-Clips Short Film Festival 2023, taking place in person again in London.
