The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) Museum, uniquely situated inside the historic 2.5-mile IMS oval, is home to one of the world’s premier motorsports and automobile collections, with interpretive emphasis on the Indianapolis 500 and its role as an American icon of sporting tradition and innovation. The IMS Museum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and relies on the support of visitors, members, donors and corporate partners, who make possible its exhibits, educational programming, preservation and auto restoration initiatives. Our Vision: Through world-class storytelling, ingenuity, and design we bring alive emotional experiences capturing the essence of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
