IMA (International Medical Assistance) is a global organization dedicated to improving the lives of young girls and women in Guatemala, Central America through education, opportunity, volunteer efforts and your gifts of love. Mission Statement: IMA is dedicated to empowering impoverished girls in Guatemala to achieve their full potential. Our nonprofit Christian organization transforms lives thru educational, spiritual and physical development. IMA’s mission is to solve the problems facing women and girls in Guatemala through education and mentoring. No populace set in this hemisphere faces greater hurdles than women and girls in Guatemala, and the only solution is education. Girls face violence, exploitation, and exclusion in a cycle of repression that perpetuates many of the societal afflictions that plague their country. IMA’s solution is to create a learning environment where girl’s health is maintained, their nutrition is supervised, and they are provided a first world education in tandem with tangible skills that enable them to be contributing members of society.
