The Humane Society of Broward County provides shelter, aid and responsible adoptions to animals entrusted to our care, and educates the community about respect and kindness to all animals.
The Humane Society of Broward County:
•Is a 33,000 square-foot, completely air-conditioned shelter
•Has the ability to house 300+ dogs and cats
•Placed nearly 10,000 animals into homes in fiscal year 2012
•Has more than 160,000 patrons visit each year
•Educationally reaches more than 200,000 children and adults each year
•Has full-time veterinarian services for shelter animals with an on-site clinic
•Is identified nationally as a "Leader in Animal Welfare in South Florida"
•Operates a state-of-the-art spay/neuter and adoption vehicle
•Is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization and receives no funding from the government or any national group. The Humane Society of Broward County relies 100% on funding from individuals, like you, who care. Every dollar is carefully spent to help the unwanted animals.
