27 January is Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD). It is a day for everyone to remember the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of people murdered under Nazi persecution of other groups and during more recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. On HMD we honour the survivors of these regimes and challenge ourselves to learn lessons from the past to create a safer, better future.
The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) is the charity, established by the Government, that promotes and supports HMD.
