HCYLP. It’s short for Henderson County Young Leaders Program. Our main focus is to develop future leaders. It's all done through a unique partnership with the camp community, the schools and the Boys & Girls Club.
So, why camp? Residential camp and experiential learning are vital to build confidence and character in students and develop their leadership skills. It’s where they turn off the cell phones and the computers and have real face-to-face connections. They communicate and collaborate, practicing skills that will help them not only with personal relationships, but also as they mature and move into the workplace and corporate world.
Research has shown that even a brief exposure to camp can change a life. Since the program began we've seen this happen in over 2,000 little lives. - See more at: www.hcylp.og
