Health For The Arts, Inc. is a new 501(c)(3) charitable organization for the purpose of providing free and low-cost health and wellness services to people who work in the performing arts industry! Professional theatre workers (on-stage, back-stage, and administrative roles) generally do it for the love of the arts, and are underpaid. What’s worse, even those with health insurance rarely have access to specialists (ex: eating disorders, mental health) or coverage for preventative wellness that is going to help their specific needs (ex: nutrition for long rehearsals). That’s where we intend to come in.
