BACKGROUND: GERMAN ENGINEERING with over 115 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE with sporting goods: Founded in 1900, the HAMMER family started with the production of wooden tennis rackets and skis. During the late 1940‘s the company became a leading ski manufacturer under the "erbacher" brand with many important innovations including the world’s first synthetic ski and world's second metal ski. 1982: HAMMER SPORT acquired German distribution rights for the world-renowned MIKASA® brand (Official Olympic Game Ball for (beach-)/volleyball and waterpolo) 1989: HAMMER SPORT launched the first HAMMER® fitness products 1996: Addition of HAMMER Boxing and Martial Arts products 2005: HAMMER SPORT launched the premium brand FINNLO® targeted towards retail and sports shops
