HQI is a non-profit institution designed to fill an artist development void in London created by excessively high costs of living and failure of industry to provide supportive networks for its creatives.
We endeavour to serve the city’s creatives by providing a supportive and enriching sanctuary for residencies, in which artists can converse, collaborate and develop their own practices freely.
Our first space is inside a former BBC social club in White City, London.
The studio has 24/7 access for its residents, with 2 music + video editing studios, a communal visual arts studio, workshop room and a 1500ft2 exhibition space + music venue.
We regularly offer residencies to musicians, visual artists and creatives. Please email us and say hello with a sentence about what you do with any links to your work.
All new residents are offered at least 3 months of free space with options to extend or contribute via a nominal fee based on affordability.
