OUR WHY
Empowering women through education in Canterbury.
OUR BOARD
Our board is made up of seven community-minded women with a broad spectrum of applicable skills in education, the non-profit and private sectors. These skilled women bring their wealth of experience, passion towards equality and uplifting others to work to break down barriers and enable women to succeed in education. The board are also instrumental in supporting the Regalia Hire business arm of the organisation.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
Each year funding is made available from profits through the hire of academic graduation regalia to give back to the tertiary community through initiatives, scholarships, awards. Our scholarships, awards and funding initiatives are available for all women studying in tertiary education in Canterbury.
EQUITY FUNDING
GWC are focused on removing or minimising barrier that hold women back from further education. Commencing in 2023, we are seeking a partner or partners within education to help distribute funds through projects that improve equity within our community, to empower women and to reduce gender disparities and bias.
This money can be distributed over multiple projects or could be given to a singular project. We are looking for creative and exciting opportunities for women and disadvantaged groups.
Get in touch to discuss our exciting funding project further.
SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS
We offer a range of scholarships and awards to women at different stages of their academic journeys.
