Glocal Forum

The Glocal Forum was a non-profit organization that operated between 2001 and 2010. The organization, based in Rome, Italy, was dedicated to advancing a new balance between global and local forces by emphasizing the central role of cities. The Glocal Forum led a global coalition of municipal leaders, international public and private institutions, local communities and youth in city-to-city projects aimed at building peace and developing a more balanced socio-economic world. The Glocal Forum coordinated a wide range of projects in the areas of city-diplomacy, development, youth empowerment, information and communications technology, sports and the arts.
