Girl Up Union

Union is referred to as an act of being united. With this, we're trying to convey that every individual, irrespective of their gender, need to unite in order to achieve gender equality, then only we would be able to advance in it. We are a Girl Up campus society of Maharaja Surajmal Institute and a club under Girl Up campaign chain, an initiative by the United Nations Foundation. We are keen on striving for shattering of such stereotypes that oppress the lifestyle of all genders and corrupts the mindset of the young generation. Our agenda is to focus on shedding light on necessary gender-based topics like gender-based violence, reproductive and mental health, women in leadership, gender gap in sports and STEM, etc, and we would also be targeting issues like healthcare, education, sanitisation, among many more. This is done through conducting webinars, fundraising, advocacy, on-ground activities, and public campaigns.
