Nonprofit Fundraising Organization:
The men and women of Israel's military serve their country with courage. The debt of gratitude the Jewish world owes them is inestimable. As well, we owe much to the courageous Israelis who, by living in Israel, secure this tiny land for all Jews.
Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans (FIDV) and Beit Halochem are committed to caring for Israeli servicemen and women disabled in the line of duty, and victims of terror attacks. Beit Halochem centers provide therapeutic, sports and recreational facilities to help them resume lives of purpose and dignity.
ZDVO, the “Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization”, was established in the wake of the War of Independence (1949), with the purpose of providing the 6,000 disabled veterans from this war with all their needs towards the long process of their rehabilitation. Since that time thousands of new members who were wounded during their active or reserve services joined the organization’s ranks, which today number more than 51,000.
